Ikea HEMNES living room shelf shelves

Hello dear Ikea fans,

I have also been an IKEA fan for a long time and we have furnished most of our house with IKEA furniture.

But I have a very specific question: when we moved two years ago, we decided on the Hemnes series for our living room wall. We have a wide HEMNES bookshelf in black-brown on the left and right, in the middle the matching TV bench, and above it the wall shelf in the matching width.

However, I use the bookshelves as CD shelves because I have a very large collection. The distances between the individual shelves are relatively high for CDs. Therefore, I would like to have additional shelves. I have been to the IKEA store several times and have also looked in the bargain corner on a whim multiple times, but always without success. I have talked to all kinds of salespeople, always hoping that one of them could give me a tip on how to get individual HEMNES shelves. They are not sold separately.

I have even placed search ads to get used shelves, but also without success. I would rather not buy an entire HEMNES shelf just because I need 4 shelves.

Does anyone perhaps have a tip or can help me?

You could try staining pine boards yourself. At the hardware store, there should be, for example, Clou stain in various shades. Possibly take a Hemnes board along and compare it with the sample cards to see if there is something suitable. Regards, IKEA-Friend

I have thought about that too. However, I have tried something like that before with another shelf and it was obvious that they were not the original boards.

Isn't there any way to get hold of four such boards?

If I knew someone who works in the clearance section, I would ask them to call me immediately if an HEMNES shelf shows up there.
