hello,

Unfortunately, I can’t find any assembly instructions for the bathroom light Godmorgon on the Ikea website. There is also none included in paper form with the product itself.

Can anyone please help me with this??

What I noticed about the mirror cabinet:
The power outlet from the wall is exactly behind the mirror cabinet. If I want to route the cables upwards, it pinches the cable because no passage opening is provided – now I have to drill or saw a hole and thus interfere with the attachment of the mirror foil – not good.

Thanks in advance to everyone who sends a helpful answer!

best regards

The thing with the electricity is relatively easy. But why should I write now how it works. Let others also be annoyed by the lamp. The thing with the rail is also totally simple. But I'm not writing instructions for Ikea. Let a few people get shocked at the power connection. Would probably not have happened with instructions ))) - No seriously. The power connection can be pulled out and it is also labeled. You can insert the rail if you remove the side parts but that only works if you have enough space on the outside.

However, it is absolutely irresponsible of IKEA to sell this lamp without instructions. I think when the first people get an electric shock, then IKEA will also react.

Hello,

How do you remove the side panels of the lamp in order to slide the lamp onto the rail?

Regards, mis

Dear IKEA friends,

Godmorgon, the second: A problem already mentioned above presents me with greater difficulties. In my case, the cable outlets are located directly centrally behind the mirror and would have to be bent, on the one hand, so that they could be connected to the lamp on the left; however, the cables are extremely stiff and difficult to bend. On the other hand, I would have to pinch the lines because Godmorgon does not provide an opening in the middle.

As my nickname suggests, I rely on your help and experience reports. Many thanks in advance!
Best regards, Doppellinkshänder

Almost despairing over this lamp. To make it light upwards, I mounted the strip the wrong way around. But it won't snap onto the rail. I approach the box at an angle from below (large part of the rail) and fold it onto the small part. Unfortunately, the box doesn't click into place.

P.S. I had instructions included (Ikea Switzerland, February 2012)

I think this Godmorgon lamp was designed by Satan himself! Apart from the most fiddly electrical connection ever and the lack of supply options if the cable doesn't come DIRECTLY out of the wall behind the junction box, I couldn't manage to snap the lamp onto the carrier.

According to the instructions, you just place it slightly tilted from above, press down, and with a CLICK it snaps in. But I tried attaching and pressing like an ox from all possible angles – it never CLICKED!

The lamp was then only held by the thin double-sided adhesive tape on the carrier element. And that promptly led to the loud fall of the lamp right in the middle of the night today!

So I’ll have to wrestle with this thing again over the weekend. Maybe the secret lies in completely removing the adhesive tape, as this is not shown at all in the instructions.

Maybe the adhesive tape was also a subsequent (and insufficient) reaction to frequent problems with snapping the lamp in.

If anyone who might have succeeded has a tip, I’d be very glad...
