For years I have been a satisfied owner of the Ikea-Family-Card. Only recently did I realize that the IKEA-Family-Card and the IKEA-Payment-Card are two different things.
What do you mean?
Quite simple: When my address changed, I updated it online under the IKEA-Family-Card. However, since I found no way to change my account details there, I called the hotline, which then informed me that I had to provide the new data to IKANO Bank by phone. Which I did.
However, no one had told me that I also had to have my address data changed at IKANO Bank.
For me, this is not apparent anywhere when you change the data for the IKEA-Family-Card.
Now I have been charged €5 for the return of the new IKEA-Payment-Card – and the card has also been blocked due to the neglected address change. Until then, my purchases had always been debited from my current account without any problems.
A great service from IKEA. Thank you very much.

I think you have a small misconception...

The Family card without payment function is from IKEA. The Family card with payment function is from IKANO Bank. Just like a credit card for IKEA, but not from IKEA.

The mistake is not IKEA's, but entirely yours. Or do you receive the debits from IKEA? No, from IKANO Bank and this is not directly connected to IKEA. Therefore, it is not IKEA's fault. You have the contract with IKANO Bank.

Makes sense, right?

Call the hotline and ask if they could kindly waive the 5,- €. With a bit of luck and the explanation that it was not entirely clear to you that IKEA is not directly connected with IKANO Bank, they might waive the 5,- €. But they don't have to. The bank is within its rights. It has provided a service and this is listed in the price list. Accordingly, you cannot avoid the 5 €.

It's logical, isn't it? When I move, I am obviously obliged to change my address with the bank as well, as I already wrote before, the debit is made by IKANO Bank and not by IKEA. But that should become clear to you at the latest when you look at your bank statement...

See here:

That's what it says on my bank statement; what about yours?

I have a Payback card, so you should be able to see that I was here... or not? After all, I was previously in Liechtenstein and also showed my Payback card when I deposited 5 million into my black money account. For that, I got 3 bottles of wine... Or should I show my Miles & More card?

And I’ll also give you the PIN of my credit card...

Dear people, either reconsider your behavior with your personal data or just tell us everything we want to know, including PINs...

Then it’s easier to take you for a ride. Oh, and please do it with a confession so that we can’t be prosecuted. Greetings from the consumer advice center....
