Hello everyone,

now that I am the proud owner of an Ikea kitchen still in 1000 individual pieces, I am taking advantage of the help from the IKEA fan community right away.

We received the delivery yesterday and have actually already completed 2 cabinets (1x oven base cabinet and a carousel). But unfortunately, a question has arisen. How do I attach the legs? The instructions say they need to be attached with a screw. However, it is not included in the package. Neither with the legs nor with the carcass. Does anyone have experience with how they are mounted? They are 16 cm legs without height adjustment.

Many thanks
Mike

Then I assume that you have Capita stainless steel legs?

There should be 16 screws included with each leg!

Honestly, I can't imagine that they are missing from ALL the legs.

We have the 16-piece plastic legs. A total of 9 packages. We have opened 3 so far and there were no screws inside any of them.

Hi,

there are no screws included because you don’t need any.

Have you looked at the assembly instructions? They describe how to assemble the legs. Or, quite simply, insert the leg into the mounting plate and insert the tongues protruding at the top into the designated holes in the cabinet bottom. Done. If you have a base cabinet that is only 35 cm deep, these holes are missing, then cut off the tongues and attach with "your own" screws to the bottom panel. Please always use 4 legs for one cabinet, do not place the neighboring cabinet on top out of false thriftiness.

And always take a look at the assembly instructions, many questions will then clarify themselves. Questions that cannot be clarified with this, you can of course continue to ask here.

Oh yes, welcome to the forum

Ok, then I am officially probably too dumb. As I said, I have already built 2 cabinets and managed well, but I don’t understand the feet. They are simply just plugged in? But then they would fall out when I lift the cabinet to put it in its place in the kitchen. Sorry, I’m usually quite smart but here the bulbs stay dark.

We planned 4 pieces per cabinet.

Thanks
Mike

Actually, I didn't want to write anything more here at first because I am pretty angry with Ikea. You can fix the bracket where the legs are inserted with a screw, but you don't have to. Even if you have screwed it tight, the legs might still fall out of the bracket. Just do it the way that works best for you. Nothing is missing and you are not doing anything wrong.
