Hello,

for the Faktum kitchen base cabinets, the instructions differentiate between versions that should have either drawers/pull-outs or only doors at the end:
For drawers, the brackets for wall mounting are to be screwed into holes 4 and 5, while for doors they belong in holes 1 and 2.
However, the holes in the back panel are ALWAYS at the height of holes 1 and 2. What do you do then for drawer cabinets? Drill new additional holes in the back panel?

Even if it doesn’t quite belong here – but maybe someone knows:
My electrician asked me to get the stove connection cables in advance.
How is the oven Framtid OV9 and the induction cooktop above it connected? Do I need two such 5-core cables for the stove socket in the wall, or is only the cooktop connected with it and the power for the oven is tapped off from the cooktop?

Thanks for the info!

Hello,
for a regular base cabinet (60 cm deep) the bracket does not need to be mounted deeper. Do you have a link to the installation instructions?

In the oven manual you will find the necessary information for the cable.
The oven and hob are connected to the cooker connection box with their own cables.
For the hob I would use a 4 x 2.5mm² cooker connection cable (Tmax 90°C or higher). If that is not available, then 5 x 2.5 mm². One conductor remains unused. It should be long enough so that you or a service technician can also remove the hob with the connected cable.

Thank you for the initial information!

Actually, this distinction with the angles is only present in the 37cm deep base cabinets: for example here on p. 16.

With the 60cm deep ones there is no problem, but what about the 37cm ones? Do I have to make new holes for the wall mounting in the back panel?

And regarding the oven: for this I will also buy a 3-5 pin connection cable that goes to the cooker connection box in addition to the hob. Did I understand that correctly?

For the 37 cm deep cabinet, the drawer rail would collide with the retaining bracket in the upper position. Of course, an additional hole must then be drilled in the back panel. Simply drill through from the inside to the outside with a large wood drill bit once everything is assembled. Hold a board from the back to ensure a clean hole.

The 3-core cable goes directly from the oven to the connection box on the wall.

Hi,

one more thing about the electrical appliances. How your electrician connects the devices is up to him, after all he also has to guarantee his work.

Basically, with Ikea appliances it is intended that the cooktop is connected to the stove socket and the oven to a 16A fused outlet. If both devices are to be connected together to the stove socket, then only via a splitter. Please keep the warranty in mind.

Regards

Nayla

Thank you for the information!

One more quick question for Nayla:
Where does it say that the oven and hob may only be connected to the cooker socket via a splitter?
I would have an electrician do it anyway - but if they do it that way, it shouldn't void the warranty, right!?
