Ikea Expedit in the bathroom problems?

Hello dear Ikea fans,

currently, there is the Ikea Expedit shelf with 8 compartments. Can I also put this in the bathroom, or could there be problems due to the humidity?

I actually wouldn't do that. But:
Do you have a window in the bathroom and no wet tiles after showering?
Did you buy the [Expedit] for 10,- euros from the bargain bin?
Then maybe.....

.. but I think it won't take long before the coating peels off.

I also once had this problem because I attached a LACK wall shelf in the bathroom, but it warped relatively quickly!

For about 15 months now, the 8-cube Expedit has been standing in our bathroom, some distance away from the tub. The bathroom is quite small, has natural light, and is only used for bathing (shower in another bathroom). Otherwise, the shelf stands on 2cm "high" feet.

So far, nothing has softened, swollen, etc. – you just shouldn’t spray water on it directly... and if you want, you can simply use clear silicone and go over all the edges ^^

The flower water once spilled over the shelf and now it looks totally stupid. So it doesn’t get along with water. Better leave it alone.
