With me, the system without wall rails, with dowels at the very top. Rails came later. But it also worked well in the kitchen with rails. So it's pretty much the same...

Regarding the baseboards: So, apart from the TV board, everything else lies directly against the wall for you?

I also have a base,



but I left about 3 cm of space from the wall at the bottom. Depending on how you turn the small adjustable feet at the bottom in or out, you can create a slight backward tilt so that the cabinet is closer to the wall at the top. At the top, I left about 1 cm of space. This, in addition to the dowels, is another protection against tipping over.
