Ikea Beddinge Sofa Bed: Replacing Slats, Experiences

Hi,

in search of an answer to my question about the IKEA Beddinge sofa bed, I came across this forum, but I didn't find anything in the search function... Maybe someone can help me anyway.

My IKEA Beddinge sofa bed is already several years old, and the slats have slowly but surely given up from sitting in the same spot a lot. But since I still want to sleep on it properly, I got replacement slats from Ikea, which were kindly given to me for free. However, I now face a problem. I am hesitant to forcibly tear out the gray holders because I am afraid they will break. But I can't bend the frame wide enough to get the slats out.

Has anyone ever replaced the slats on the IKEA Beddinge sofa bed and can give me a tip or share their experience?

Hi, you have to press the old Beddinge slats, how do I put it - against the holder on one side. Then bend the slat upwards in the middle with one hand and fix it at the end with the other hand. You have to bend it upwards until you can take it out of the other holder. You do the same with the new one. Push the slat into the holder and bend it upwards until you can place it into the holder.
