Hello!
My wife and I want to start our own home project at the end of 2013, beginning of 2014.
For this, I already have a few questions that some of you might be able to answer from experience.
I will describe my "dream house" to you, and I hope you can help me identify some early pitfalls.
Key data (roughly):
- approx. 150m2 living space on 2 floors
- [Pultdach]
- fully basemented
- heating via central [Grundofen] on the ground floor with absorber to heat the more remote rooms (whether this is feasible performance-wise would have to be clarified with a professional stove builder once we know how much output is needed, this would be our preferred concept)
- surface heating in the rooms to be heated because the absorbers work constantly but not at a high temperature level; and because radiant heat is healthier anyway.
- for hot water, we were thinking of solar thermal, which would, however, require support in winter, so is that even sensible? If not, what sensible alternatives are there?
- construction method: solid, although I have not really figured out the building material yet. It would probably have to be coordinated with our heating concept via radiant heating. Does anyone have a recommendation here?
Especially regarding heating, I hope to get experience reports from other users. You find quite a bit on the web but unfortunately also a lot of contradictory information.
Regards, smack
