Before I switched to an enthalpy heat exchanger, we sometimes had less than 20% (The cheap hygrometers then only showed --%).

What you can do:
- Turn down the airflow
- Retrofit enthalpy heat exchangers (They are also available for the Tecalor, if we are talking about the one here, which is also identical to the one from Stiebel)
- Generate as much humidity as possible. (Hang up wet towels, never open the window after showering, many plants, ultrasonic humidifiers..)

We now always have about 40%. Much more comfortable.

We bought such a humidifier from Philipps. It works perfectly and provides relief.

The dryness in winter is typical for your heating system. With the normal heat exchanger, you exchange the air along with the humidity. This means you constantly lose humidity and hardly any comes in with the fresh air. You get "dried out." With the enthalpy exchanger like the one from , the humidity does not leave the house to the same extent, and it is worthwhile to occasionally use humidifiers. Without the enthalpy exchanger, the humidity from a humidifier is also lost again within a short time, since the air is fundamentally exchanged. Reducing the airflow lessens the severity of the problem but not the problem itself.

Set the ventilation system to the lowest level, place large plants, cook a lot, wash and hang a lot of laundry, take many showers, etc. We also have a Philips humidifier in the living area. That alone pushes out 3-4 liters in 24 hours. However, with the enthalpy exchanger, remember that the humidity has to come from somewhere. It doesn't magically humidify the air.

We always have between 40-45% humidity at 22-23.5°.

That’s correct, it only keeps it approximately constant. Once properly adjusted, it means less constant rehumidifying.

We have no measures for humidifying or dehumidifying the air and recorded a minimum of 48% and a maximum of 55% this year.
