How to handle natural stone slabs for a terrace?

How big is the terrace? 14k is quite significant despite the travertine.

We made the pool ourselves, it just needed to be framed.

WOW, he only wants to replace 2 - 3 tiles, for the rest...that just happens, we should have laid it in concrete. And he believes that the quartz sand is useless now anyway because I grouted the tiles. However, I am of the opinion that the tiles were laid so close together that the quartz sand doesn’t fall through at all.

We just had our slabs laid tightly without joints. We are still very satisfied with that after years.
