How to assemble IKEA Mandal bed frame and slatted base?

I am planning to buy the Mandal bed frame in 140x200 cm. However, I have a question for everyone who already has it or knows about it. There is a slatted frame included. Is it somehow screwed directly to the Mandal bed frame or is it basically just laid on top? I have the problem that my room is quite small and the bed would be against the wall on one side, so you wouldn’t be able to get to the drawers. But if you could lift the slatted frame, you could access the drawers from above. I would be really happy about quick answers. Thanks in advance!

The grate is usually screwed in place, but this is not strictly necessary. However, since the grate could then move, I would at least pad the contact surfaces with felt to avoid any unpleasant noises.

I have a question about this [Rost]... are those just wooden slats or a real [rost] that gives way when you lie down in the bed?

have you bought the Mandal bed by now? What can you say about it? I'd also like to buy it. However, the slatted frame puts me off. If it doesn't spring and only consists of slats. That can't really be right. I just bought a 1.40 by 2.00 m slatted frame today because I didn't read the description of Mandal properly. Hopefully, I can just use and put the slatted frame in the bed.

Is there anyone who can tell me how this Mandal is? Does the mattress not slip away either?
