Hello,

it's slowly getting serious with us, the plot has been divided. Now we just have to have the old house demolished (9 x 5.5m, built in 1949). How much do you estimate the costs for that? We are considering whether we should do it ourselves?

I would like to upload photos, but I am currently having technical problems.

Thanks for the help

Regards
Manuel

Let a professional handle it,! Or should the neighbor's house collapse too??

The picture is a bit unfortunate. The neighbor's house is about 10 meters away.

If you have a lot of time, not exactly two left hands, and helpers, you can do it yourself. But that also costs a lot. There will be quite a few containers.

A problem could be the facade panels, they might contain asbestos. If that is the case, as far as I know, a professional company must do it.

Just have two or three quotes made.

Estimating that based on a photo is difficult to impossible. If you want to hear/read a number: €10,000

Our banker is planning €10,000 for the demolition, we think that will be tight. The front facade consists of asbestos-containing panels. An acquaintance of mine has such a permit, that would not be a problem. How high do you estimate the costs for a self-demolition? Will €10,000 be enough?

With the information available so far, it cannot be estimated. Besides, I am not an expert.

But: if you do it yourself and by hand, then you basically only pay for disposal plus possibly tools, but it takes correspondingly long. You can still factor in a few thousand euros.

If you use construction machinery, it goes faster, but they also want to be paid, and it quickly runs into the thousands if you rent the appropriate machines for several days.

Then you can also have it done and have some cost certainty and above all no risk of injury. That cannot be denied when it comes to a demolition in [EL].

So before you keep thinking/worrying, just get an offer from a professional.
