How much construction water does a foundation slab builder need approximately?

Probably none at all, since the concrete is delivered ready-made. And the concrete mixer has its own water for cleaning its equipment. What does he want water for?

We also first needed water for the mortar from the bricklayers. And not even much. A few tubs full.

We initially placed and filled an IBC container. That lasted forever and then it was just refilled again.

Can’t you rent a standpipe from you? Or just really connect the hose at the neighbor's for ten bucks.

I will ask at the meeting on Monday. Thanks for the hint.

Good idea. IBC containers seem to be easier to get than water tankers, which I have unsuccessfully searched for here in the region so far. I will also discuss that with the slab builder on Monday.

The problem with the standpipe is exactly ours. Apparently, only the sewage association can/could do that, and they gave us appointments for three weeks that they simply canceled without apology, feedback, or anything else. Why, I don't know. Or to your knowledge, is every sanitary company allowed to install standpipes?

We don't know the neighbors yet.

Bake a cake, ring the bell, apologize in advance for the future construction noise, compliment the garden, talk about the shared boundary design... There are so many reasons to get to know the neighbors early and friendly. ;)

We picked up the standpipe at the water association and then connected it ourselves to the hydrant. You get a corresponding key for that. After use, it just had to be taken off again every time.
