hm. We ourselves didn’t glue anything, we took over the bathroom along the ceiling with this rod at the top. You say these cracks were caused by moisture. These cracks are currently appearing much more frequently on the upper floor. But actually, moisture has no place there. It can’t be due to ventilation; I believe no one ventilates as much as I do.

Is that a drywall ceiling above the bathroom?

Then it works. Because underneath the drywall is softwood. It is then always prone to cracking. Acrylic can help there. How to do it I have said,

I think it’s simply due to the different expansion behaviors of various materials. We had this in existing buildings as well. And, of course, noticeably in new buildings between gable walls and gypsum plasterboard walls. But also from gypsum plasterboard to gypsum plasterboard. Despite acrylic, because its flexibility also has its limits!

I don’t know exactly what we’ll do with it yet...

For me, it looks as if the existing acrylic corner is cracked. Either remove it and replace it or attach some kind of patch strip.

Hello,

we also have such cracks in the substructure of the roof overhang (wood) to the cladding (aluminum).

Would that then be normal as well?
