Hello everyone,

my girlfriend and I want to build a house next year. Yesterday we had our first consultation at Bien-Zenker in the show home park in Erlangen.

The show home was equipped with a Wöhlfühl-Klima heating system. The consultant explained it to us as well, but unfortunately I didn’t really understand it because so many facts were thrown at us.

Could you maybe explain exactly how it works? He told me that you no longer need a gas connection and that everything works with electricity.
Does that mean higher electricity costs or how does it work?

Thank you very much for your answers.

Best regards

Robert

Hello,

That's right, a disguised direct electric heating. You should be very cautious with such "comfort climate heaters," otherwise there can be nasty surprises.
Best regards.

What do you mean by that? Can you explain it to me a bit more precisely?

Thank you for your explanation. I think I'll rather keep my hands off that. I think we will decide on a gas condensing boiler, as it is the simpler option; although we still need to have a gas connection installed on our property, the connection is cheaper than the extra cost for the Wohlfühl-Klima-Heizung. Thank you very much for the info.

The consideration is not entirely wrong. However, because of the EEWG, you will probably be forced to include a solar component. Whether that is optimal would need to be examined. If you decide on gas, the 15% rule is a very sensible option. Does the provider have this in their portfolio? In my economic comparisons, gas condensing boilers and real modular air heat pumps often run neck and neck. The decisive factor is usually the local specific framework conditions (building, user behavior, climate region). With gas condensing boilers, pay attention to as low a minimum modulation value of the heating capacity as possible (1...3 kW). Avoid oversizing according to the heating load! Best regards
