How can I unfold the Ikea Klamby sofa bed?

Hello everyone,

I bought a Klamby sofa bed during the extraordinary Tuesday in December. Since I have moved, I am only now getting around to wanting to use it for guests.

You will probably laugh at me now, but I can’t figure out how to convert the sofa into a bed. We have already pulled on the seating area with several people, sometimes from the front, sometimes from the back, because we think you have to fold out the seating area and place it in front of the sofa.

Or what kind of trick is behind it?

Hi sk1,

so if it is the same sofa as I have, you just have to fold up the seat part until it clicks and then pull everything back down - with a bit of force. This way, you already get a small lounging area. Then you only have to pull out the lower part, the slatted frame, and lay the rest of the sofa over it. And voilà! Your sofa is now a bed!!! ;)

Unfortunately, we apparently do not have the same sofa.
I believe that the Klamby offer sofa does not have a slatted frame like your sofa,
but that you simply have to somehow pull out and unfold the foam seat surface, however, since it is sewn together at the back and the backrest protrudes quite far, this is difficult...

I don't know the name of my sofa, as I just took it over, but at the beginning I also had a lot of trouble making it into a bed. I thought you probably have the same. I'm sorry!
