House price way too expensive? Experiences?

The prices are somehow very different. Some pay 250k€ for their house with a basement and supposedly all special features, while others build plain and don't manage with 500k€ (each without land). One wonders, are the views and demands so different or actually the costs?

There is also a lot of lying - and for some, electric roller shutters are already luxury level...

Ok, if you base it on the Town & Country or Heinz von Heiden standard house, there are only 35 sockets, 1 TV and one LAN port included. But if I read, for example, that several ceiling spots are considered upscale equipment, I am surprised too.

Yes, the expectations differ too much in part - and therefore a construction cost comparison is virtually impossible.

The crucial word is "supposedly". You surely also know from the discussions here what one realistically has to and can spend.
