Hello everyone,

we submitted the building notification on Monday and only at that time learned the final height specifications.

The following resulted:

- 30.24 m above sea level top edge finished shaft
- 30.00 m above sea level top edge planned ground (-0.24)
- 30.25 m above sea level top edge finished floor (+0.01)

- We need to fill about 1 m at the lowest point.

The top edge of the finished floor is thus just about 1 cm above street level and the planned ground just below (-0.24). What do you think of the above values? Am I possibly too low? Of course, I want to avoid a lift station or some backflow protection

Hi,
the important thing is the bottom of the shaft; you have to be clearly above it so that the water can actually flow into the sewer by gravity.

However, you will hardly be able to avoid a backwater valve or lifting system if you have a basement.

Without a basement, you actually don't need it, except for a floor-level shower on the ground floor. Every drain has to be higher than the top edge of the finished shaft.

It should be noted that the top edge of the finished shaft is sometimes given without the fine asphalt layer (this is the case with us) and a house construction is not always entirely precise. (For example, our house stands 3 cm too low). This can quickly turn a +1 cm height difference into -5 cm.

So don't plan too tight.

Best regards,

Andreas
