Slowly, all the work is coming to an end. The electrician commissioned by the general contractor was supposed to finish the week before last; today's appointment has been postponed again to mid-November. The current errors are: 1 burning point in the living room does not work; the actuators of the heating, the WC ventilation and motion detectors in the practice are not connected, the network cables are partially not connected either, one socket is still missing in the utility room (meter box), we do not have the documentation of all fuses of the entire electrical installation, the LED lamp in the shower (as an additional service) is also missing. Unfortunately, we have already paid the (greedy) electrician for his additional services.

Actually, the general contractor should aim for a prompt handover of the house; we are surprised about the delay (which also means a later receipt of money). From my point of view, the house is not ready to move in this condition. What is your opinion? Apart from money, I can’t think of any "motivational means" to finally reach a conclusion. Or does anyone have other ideas?

There is still the final payment to the general contractor. The things you describe are actually small stuff. Is it only the light in the shower missing, or is there not even a cable? One man, one day of work. At most. I don’t know what you expect from the documentation. It will be no more than a sheet of paper with labeling of the individual fuses, etc. I hope you’re not expecting a wiring diagram or something similar. Handover of the house with the corresponding protocol. Deadline included directly. Otherwise, there will be no final payment and you’ll have to look for another company.

I fear that with such an outlook, you will probably have to move into a hotel more often over the next 25 years. The circumstances are probably not as agreed, that is another matter, but why should the house not be ready to move into if these are the only defects? Are you serious?

hm... don't you actually think that the heating has to work ("die Stellmotoren der Heizung sind nicht angeschlossen, ") before moving into a house? Individual sockets and shower lighting might be considered "small stuff," but I wouldn't want to miss heating and room lighting in a house

You never need the actuators anyway with a well-adjusted heating system.

It's about whether you can move in (for now). It doesn't mean that you will never have room lighting.
