I do not assume that he means cash payment, but that the money is safely kept in the bank ;)

Why not, the mafia wants to build too, right? There are definitely companies.

First of all, thank you very much for the many responses. The money is of course in the bank and has been saved up. There are also still reserves available, but I find it hard to imagine building a house without a cellar for this amount. The garage will be built with bricks and so will the storage room. The living and dining area is designed completely open. The structural engineer may still need to plan in a beam. But 30,000 euros for the structural engineering?!?! For the ancillary construction costs I would assume a maximum of 25,000 euros. The plot belongs to me, the building site is developed. The earthworks on relatively flat ground cannot be that expensive. For the planning by the architect I estimate about 10,000 euros. Regards

A budget of 30,000 euros is planned for the kitchen : ) and does not concern our money. The outdoor area will be created with own labor, except for the terrace.

I also don't believe that the 500k€ will be enough. Unless you are satisfied with the lower standard of equipment. Simple bathroom, vinyl or laminate, no large-format tiles…

No photovoltaic system, no controlled residential ventilation, no smart home, no fireplace... :)

Just as an example. We are paying 466,500 € for a 138 sqm living space Kfw 55 bungalow (upscale equipment) in Brandenburg. The soil investigation was standard, so no additional costs. But this already includes painting and flooring work and 25,000 € for outdoor facilities. It would be important to say that these are old prices :-)
