So I think we can say in summary that you can also install a hot water circulation system yourself.

You can do everything yourself, theoretically.
It depends on the skills you have.
Water was one of the few things where we did nothing except laying out the underfloor heating.
Pressing and laying the pipes is probably not impossible either, but damage can be huge if something is not tight.
With other trades, it is easier to repair something.

Not everything you can do is allowed.
Drinking water installations may only be carried out by an approved installer.

In essence:
Warm running drinking water pipes up to 22mm inner diameter must be provided with 100% insulation thickness 0.35 WLG.
Exception: branch lines up to 3.0 liters content and crossing points.

An acquaintance has really done EVERYTHING in his house himself from the handover and except for the gas connection at the heating system.
So somehow that seems possible...
