Hello everyone,

in my other kitchen thread this one question seems to have been somewhat overlooked, so here is another attempt:

Is it possible to install the HINF4T cooktop without problems over a 60 cm wide base cabinet? The installation cutout is specified as 68 cm wide and the height of the cooktop as 5.3 cm, so it will probably protrude a bit below the countertop and might possibly collide with the side walls of the carcasses.

Best regards

If you accordingly cut open the corpus side wall, there will be no problems. I have already had something similar myself, but with a sink it is the same - you have to cut there just the same.

If you do not want to cut out the adjacent carcasses, for example, to be able to use them elsewhere after a move, then the only option is to use a 58 mm thick worktop instead of one with 38 mm. I assume, however, that this is more expensive than the carcasses.

You do not have to cut out the adjacent carcasses!

However, it is important to know what is installed in the respective adjacent carcass! The cutout is indeed larger than the 60 cm carcass, but the important part – the ventilation base of the cooktop – is small enough to fit into the 60 cm. Only the cutout of the top extends into the other carcasses. As long as only drawers or shelves are installed there (i.e. no electrical appliances, sink, or similar), you can install it!

Hope it is explained clearly enough? :D

Even though I am not familiar with it, my husband was supported and advised by our furniture transport during our move with the installation of the kitchen and everything that goes with it.

Just a suggestion ;) ;)
