Hello,

we need to move our lamp above the dining table.

How can the cable from the lamp be hidden so that it can no longer be seen afterwards?

Or how can the cable be hidden as well as possible so that one can do without a [Affenschaukel] (or whatever it is called)?

So that it will look good visually?

There are those small plastic cable ducts that run along the ceiling. They are rather inconspicuous if the ceiling and duct are white. With suspended ceilings, it is also less of a problem to move the cables, but with concrete ceilings, you probably only have something like this.

So I think our monkey swing is nicer than a cable duct. Otherwise, there would be slotting (rather difficult with concrete) and plastering or something that looks like a suspended ceiling.

Install a cove that covers the entire area from the outlet to the desired lamp position (and if applicable, symmetrical to the other sides of the room). This might be less labor-intensive than completely suspending the ceiling and can serve as additional indirect lighting.
For example, something like this:

Yes, we have a concrete ceiling, so chasing is not possible.

The idea of a suspended ceiling is actually not a bad idea.

My question would be, in your opinion, would that fit into our floor plan?

I do not understand the question. A suspended ceiling is a matter of ceiling height and not of area.
