Hello, I try to do as much as possible myself, but I try to inform myself thoroughly beforehand and hope for helpful answers here. Now I am facing the following problem: I have to replace an old, rotten 42-meter-long fence, which, however, stands on a usable concrete foundation. The foundation is not entirely level and has a few small bumps (3-5 cm) along the 42 meters. My plan would be to clean the old foundation with a high-pressure cleaner and lay lawn edging (100x25x5) horizontally as a surface. Since the foundation is 20 cm wide, the "bumps" could also be evened out, as well as the 2-3 centimeters by which it is out of level along the entire length. The key question: what should I use to attach the edging? Flexible adhesive, cement mortar? I have bought a double wire mesh fence (83 cm high) with posts that can be screwed on. After laying the edging, I want to fasten the posts with screws long enough to reach into the old concrete foundation. Can this work like that?
