Hello,
we have built an insulated workshop. In this we only want to heat with electricity when needed. The room is about 20m² and 2.50m high. My husband thought of an infrared heater. It is important that nothing can ignite, as a lot of work is done with wood dust.

Does anyone have experience with the manufacturers or alternative ideas?

These oil-filled radiators, where a heating element warms the oil, are in my opinion harmless and quite economical in terms of electricity, and cheap besides. Karsten

Yes, we already have 2 there. I thought they were rather not that effective. But maybe I was wrong?

If heating is done directly with electricity, then it all amounts to the same thing. Where should the effective or ineffective energy come from? The difference lies rather in perception. The radiator warms the air and thus the room, the infrared heater emits radiant heat, which feels warm but warms the room less. That is why the "consumption" is lower in rooms that are only heated sporadically with these.

Well, from the efficiency - at least that's what I thought.

The extraordinarily effective combination lamp Osram 60 watts has been banned by the EU. Twenty of them, that was warm and daylight bright.
