Hello everyone,
I have a question again because we are currently facing a problem and the experts are not entirely in agreement.
We have covered about 170 m2 of area with underfloor heating and next week the screed will be installed. According to the screed installer, heating can be started after about 7 days.
Our air heat pump (9 KWh capacity) with outdoor installation would be operational by then and until now we also thought that it could be used for heating up. Now we have been told that the heat pump cannot manage this at these outdoor temperatures and that we cannot use it. Instead, we are now supposed to rent a mobile heating device (e.g. Hotboy), which heats and dries the underfloor heating with electricity. However, another heating engineer was surprised and said that it should work with the heat pump...
Is that really necessary? And why is our heat pump supposedly not able to do it?
How was it with you?
