Hello everyone, a question: Is it correct that you should turn all thermostats fully up if you control the system directly via the heating? Background: I have a Vitodens 222-f and am basically satisfied with my settings. All thermostats are set to 5, the heating works from 5:30 AM to 5:30 PM at 22 degrees and in between there is a nighttime setback to 18 degrees. My wife is at home, the children are at school, and I work all day. Now the 3 bedrooms and the upstairs bathroom actually only need to be heated starting from about 1 PM. Can I install electronic thermostats there, or is that counterproductive? I think I read that electronic thermostats "work against" a central heating control. But if I only let the thermostats operate within the heating period that is already set anyway, doesn't it not matter? So I would still heat from 5:30 to 5:30, but only turn the thermostats on the upper floor fully up from 12 noon... and from 5:30 to 7:30 AM briefly once — otherwise I’ll get in trouble with the 3 women.
Or does it make no or hardly any economic difference in terms of energy if I only heat the upper floor 6 hours later?
Is my question expressed understandably?
