I want to bring this thread back up from the depths.

Brief data about the house:
- 160 sqm on 2 full floors
- 42.5 Poroton (filled)
- Ventilation system with heat recovery
- Primary energy demand: just under 22 kWh/m² a
- Transmission heat loss: 0.21W (m²K)

Now the question and I only want to ask for experience values and suggestions.

So far, Vaillant’s Arotherm plus VWL 75/6 a is planned. This will not be excessively oversized but the question is whether I should take the 55/6 instead?
Or will one probably be happy with both heat pumps?

I would appreciate some assessments from you!

Have a nice weekend!

I would probably choose the smaller option.

I tend to agree with that as well. Thanks already.

What does the heat load calculation say?

I have 120 sqm and a primary energy demand of 34, Ytong 42.5 and a heat load of 4 kW.

I have the 55 model and it is ok, sometimes even a bit oversized.

I still need to have the heating load calculation shown to me. For now, I was just looking for a rough estimate.

But if I look at your values, the 55 model should probably be sufficient for me as well?

Various online calculators give results between 4-6kW. Presumably, the 75 model will cycle more often and the 55 model will activate the heating element a bit earlier? The 75 model might also have the advantage that the domestic hot water tank can be heated faster if it were to be emptied in a short time.

When do you need it? At -15 degrees. How often do you have that? In 90% of Germany, the heater is never needed since the heat pump always runs at partial load anyway.
