Hello,
I will soon have a heat pump installed with 5.46 kWh, now I have questions about the electrical installation. Yesterday, the electrician who works with the HB was on site. According to the electrician, Netze-bw would apply blackout periods even though I only have one meter for the heat pump and photovoltaic system or household electricity. A new meter was replaced on 04.05.23 by Netze-bw due to the new photovoltaic system. Heat pump electricity is not an option. Does anyone have experience regarding Netze-bw and the prescribed meter installation for heat pumps and photovoltaic systems? I want to run everything through one meter. Do I have to register the heat pump with Netze-bw?
Regards

The registration of the heat pump should have already been done with the application for the power connection at Netze-BW. However, it can also be done afterwards. You can find the form on the Netze BW website.

Experience heat pump / household electricity / photovoltaic: I have been running it in my second house through a two-way meter (for us, heat pump electricity is just as expensive as household electricity, so I would end up paying extra basic charges / meter rent). A two-way meter is mandatory. You are not obliged to install a second meter for the heat pump.

My tip: If the house connection is suitable, then don’t do anything. Your heat pump has 5.46 kW capacity - thermal or power consumption? Power consumption is significantly lower (factor 2-4.5).

The dismantling of the second meter is still pending with me (not that I ever wanted it, but no one listens to you and asking is also pointless...), but as a rule, it also applies to NetzeBW that the heat pump no longer has blocking times. The electrician can then remove the blocking switch

Hello, heat pump electricity is always cheaper, therefore it is always recommended to have 2 meters. I assume that heat pump electricity will be discounted even more.

Nonsense. Although, I just checked. I don't live in the countryside, but on the edge of two metropolises (Düsseldorf/Ruhr area). There are endless electricity providers here. I picked out the best providers. Heat pump electricity: Household electricity With 3,000 kWh heat pump electricity you save €15.20 per year – in return, when including the basic price, you actually end up paying more. So: fake news that heat pump electricity is always cheaper in the end. P.S. I've been heating with a heat pump for almost 10 years. It has never been worthwhile in that time to have a separate meter for heat pump electricity.
