We have fortunately received a letter today from the municipality with our house number for the new building. What does this say about the processing status of the building application? We submitted it at the beginning of the month. Can we therefore expect a decision soon?

Nothing at all, those are completely different things.
Processing time depends on how you submitted the building application (simplified procedure,...) and how much other work the building authority currently has.

Please direct the question to the [Bauamt]. But as already said, one thing has nothing to do with the other.
