well they are fully booked and small jobs probably aren't worth it. those are the consequences of the construction boom. we are also chasing defects. don't you have someone on hand who could occasionally do that on Saturdays and you play the laborer?

unfortunately not... because the topic 'black' doesn't work... Support activities on my part wouldn't be an issue, and if I could save a significant amount with that, gladly, but in the circle of friends there is no one who could do something like that - otherwise I would of course have a normal offer there...

That doesn't always mean "under the table." There are many self-employed people who work on Saturdays – and even a small business owner can issue invoices.

are mostly small business owners, you should really expect that you will even get someone to take it on. You won't save much money if no one is already knocking on the door for the job

In general, it must be noted that the craftsmen are generally very booked up.

In March, we had called for tenders for work on our outdoor area.
The choices were our civil engineering company (which also carries out gardening and landscaping), a recommended company, and later another company we had met at a local exhibition.
All three companies were on site and went through the individual order points with us.
The first offer (from the civil engineer) arrived in May. The second came from the company at the local exhibition – however, I had to find that this offer was completely incorrect (first part of the offer). Upon inquiry, it was revised again. When the second part came, it was also unacceptable.
The recommended company was indeed the first to do a walkthrough with us but has still not managed to submit an offer. An inquiry after 3 weeks also brought nothing.

BUT: Since Saturday, we are the happy owners of a terrace. Our L-stone site boundary is in place, an entrance platform as well, and further work has already been carried out. The rest will then be done today and tomorrow.
Hurray – we have an outdoor area –
Oh yes – the civil engineering company was awarded the contract.

OT: A little tip:

You can now also claim garden landscaping on your tax return. (Condition: Move-in must have already taken place)
So always make sure to get an invoice and pay by bank transfer.
