Hello,

unfortunately, we only noticed (after acceptance) that the guest toilet is not hanging perfectly horizontal, but is "sloping" to the right.

Now I have several questions about this:

- Can this be technically compensated without problems?
- What effort does this require?
- Does this fall under the warranty, since the acceptance was done without reservations in this regard?

Regards,

Attention layman's opinion!

I’m afraid this is not easily done. A mounting is screwed into the wall, and shifting it a few centimeters can mean that you don’t move far enough away from the original drilling hole. Especially since it’s certainly tiled, and you would have to drill into the tiles again.
How many centimeters of tilt are we talking about? If it is less than 1 cm, you can be sure your construction company will argue “within tolerance.”

If the toilet was installed like ours, you have little chance of doing anything about it.

Since this was discovered after acceptance, you are dependent on the goodwill of the builder. Because a crooked toilet is clearly a visually recognizable defect. It is different with dripping faucets. According to what I have been told, those can still be complained about after acceptance.

I think you need to call your builder and see what he says. If quality and customer satisfaction are important to him, he will fix it or compensate you financially. If not, I believe: tough luck.

Hi
Depending on the extent of the misalignment, this is only a small problem.
The wall-hung toilet is screwed to the wall with two stud bolts. The diameter of the stud bolts is significantly smaller than the flange holes in the ceramic. So loosen the nuts slightly and realign the ceramic. Be careful that the ceramic does not sag when loosening. It may be necessary to remove and reapply the silicone joint beforehand, which should be located at the upper edge of the ceramic as the wall finish.
If, on the other hand, the stud bolts were set at significantly different heights so that alignment is not possible, this might be a hidden defect that can be complained about.
And even if the acceptance has already taken place, I would first talk to the craftsmen to see if they really want to leave a crooked toilet. It’s not exactly a good calling card for a craftsman.
