Hello everyone,
our electrician and the drywall installer have meanwhile finished the ceiling in the living room (4.20 - 2.30 height). Incorporated into it are 68mm 20 holes for halogen spots, whereby these - as far as I could see beforehand - are powered in rows of 2,2,3,4,4 each.
Question: what kind of halogen spots should I use now (LED is out)? Behind each hole there is a box installed, into which a power supply (12V) could also fit.
You can find many arguments on the internet for 12V (more light output, last longer, no explosive exodus) and for 230V (easier to dim, less installation effort, easier to replace with LED).
I am quite helpless. Oh yes, 8 spots in the living area and 3 spots in the dining area should be dimmable.
I am currently leaning towards 230V - 35W from Osram - what do you think?!
