Really bad tomato year this year. Last year was much, much better.

We have now canned 33 liters of tomato sauce and can harvest and eat daily, but still, last year was clearly better. This year I feel like I got about as many tomatoes from around 50 plants as last year from 29 plants.

Still, here are two harvest photos ;)

We bought a Berberis Trio from Plastia at the beginning of last year. Even though it "gilds" the tomatoes, such a water tank for the tomatoes is brilliant because they can take exactly the water they need and therefore produce far more than without. Our 3 plants with cherry tomatoes are enough for our daily tomato eating and a small tomato salad every day. Our 2 cucumber plants also produced quite well, but maybe one more plant would be better. Maybe next year they will also go into such a Berberis plant container.

we really had (and still have) very nice cocktail tomatoes - they look at least as good as the ones you can buy in the supermarket ;-) I can't understand that it was a bad year for zucchinis. At least we had huge, big and small zucchinis again - everything was there. :-)
