It is also one of my topics, so I’m going to cheekily join this thread. ;-) Would it be reasonable for you to take a photo for us and show it here? Thanks in advance, but of course you can also say "no." :)

The type of fastening would then be the "specified" dowels for the bricks.

The size of the porch roof depends, among other things, on the entrance situation. North/South/West...
A side panel is often advantageous. Then the idea of "no posts" is already off the table.

I would choose what I like, the fastening will follow.

We have combined porch roof + side panel with stainless steel and railing (since there are steps to the entrance).
Gutter with chain.
Today I would solve it differently. Instead of a chain, a drain integrated into the carrier.

It is usually advisable to drill into the suspended ceiling. Or do you have a bungalow?

Right, dowels in the concrete intermediate ceiling would certainly make the most sense. Because above the front door not much structural stability would be expected.

I'll see if I can find more photos. I can't say any more details off the top of my head.

You can see the beam there. A bit of sealing seems to have been applied. Nothing else was insulated. The insulating effect of the wood is certainly much worse than that of the [WDVS] - but it's still better than nothing. So far (six years) nothing noticeable can be seen inside. Outside, there is the conservatory in front. How professional this is, I do not know.
