Gas heating, solar thermal & water-carrying wood stove, pros / cons

Good morning everyone,

I am planning a comprehensive residential renovation and intend to combine a gas heating system with solar thermal (domestic hot water) AND a water-bearing wood stove (heating support).

Does something like this even make sense?

I already have the wood stove. Can you recommend affordable systems? I practically need the entire heating system: gas boiler - buffer tank - solar modules including all accessories (except for the wood stove).

Only in exceptional cases. The more components are involved in heat generation, the worse the overall efficiency (competing demands). This limits the economic feasibility. I would primarily focus on one heat generator and optimize that system. Reliable statements can only be made once the actual demand for heating and hot water is known. Best regards

That's exactly how it is. Either you prioritize solar thermal energy—not just for domestic hot water but also for heating support—and choose a large storage tank with a surface heating system, such as a capillary tube system (flow temperatures 24-28°C), and then usually only a wood stove is enough for the peak loads. All of this can be easily calculated.
