Hello,

I have a groundwater heat pump and am considering whether I can install a second pump in the well for garden irrigation.

Now the question would be whether I can install it in the infiltration well that is located in the garden. Or can I lay a pipe or hose outside and use an external garden pump? However, I was advised against the infiltration well because it would only be suitable as a suction well. In the infiltration well, the pump would draw too much dirt, sediment, or the like. Is that so? Does anyone possibly have experience?

Unfortunately, the suction well is on the other side of the house and is therefore not possible. :(

And one more thing... How do you get the hose out of the well? The lid has no opening?

Maybe there is someone here who has already found a solution.

Thanks to you.

It is true, better leave it.

In the suction well, it really depends on how much it can produce and how much your heat pump draws. So whether there is enough water at all for 2 pumps.

How much water could you actually draw from the well per hour? It could already fail because of that alone. Without a filter, nothing works. So you would have to clean it regularly. How is the water quality? Why not use the suction well? What is the problem with running the pipe/hose around the house? There are several options for the installation. Normally, you go underground into the well or cistern. But there are also covers with passages. If you are not completely unskilled at handiwork, you can make the passage yourself. Then rather use a well pump. Suction pumps are unsuitable for this.
