Oh, how naive. Do you really think that in 10 years anyone will care about how the fence is built?
If someone is looking for a fight, you are still the one who has to provide proof. And if it is partly on someone else’s property, trouble is guaranteed.
Just place it 5 meters closer to you. Then it will definitely be yours.

It doesn’t matter. The whole question is pretty insignificant. One should be glad that it only took 6 pages to settle this existential question :-)

At least, in the other forum where he asked the same question, it was only three pages - and really, only a phone call to the municipality can clarify it, and he has to do that himself.

Wow, I think this only happens in a German forum, where a 6-page discussion is held about which side of the post makes it look more like the fence was built by oneself, even though it was split 50/50. I suggest a solution where the posts are visible from both sides equally, then everyone will be happy ;)
