Hello,
I registered here with my question and hope that someone might have an idea for my problem :)
In our new building, the kitchen was installed. At the beginning of the kitchen line, a panel (2.5 cm thick) was installed. Then follow base cabinets in 90, 60, 90 (with hob). Above are wall cabinets in 90, 60 and the extractor hood. The countertop slightly overhangs the panel. The backsplash was adapted to the length of the countertop, so that there is now a "gap" to the left of the tall cabinets, as the backsplash begins before the wall cabinets start.

As a possible solution, it was suggested to us to also install a 2.5 cm thick panel above (although it is more than 2.5 cm) or to hang the wall cabinets offset from the base cabinets. I do not find either solution particularly appealing. Does anyone happen to have another idea?
