Good morning dear forum,

regarding our house planning, a question has come up:

Every year the guidelines for houses and their insulation (new construction & existing buildings) are tightened. If I build now - assuming 36 masonry with a thermal conductivity of 0.09 - will I have to retrofit/insulate in the future?

If that is the case, are there wall values (thickness/conductivity) where subsequent insulation can be excluded?

Thanks and best regards
Peter

Hello, This usually concerns new construction.
That is no longer a solid (monolithic) stone, but rather a cookie monster ;-)

I would spontaneously guess aerated concrete (Ytong) ^^

Possibly if the facade needs to be refurbished in 20 years... otherwise, it will probably not come to that...

About 80-90 cm of Ytong or more should be enough at first to be on the safe side!

Hi, I interpret the first two answers to mean that if anything, corrections would have to be made at the earliest during a façade renovation. Otherwise, the two responders seem to be opponents of the monolithic construction method ("Krümelmonster", "80-90cm Ytongg"), right?

No, you have to differentiate here. Self-build or company work? In the latter case, it would always make sense to separate load-bearing (structural engineering), soundproofing, and insulation, i.e., each should be handled by the respective specialist. Anything else would be a compromise. In self-build, it often looks a bit different, as other aspects also come into play.

best regards
