Hello everyone,

we are currently choosing our front door and are considering whether it should have frosted glass or not.
The carpenter advises against it a bit and says that more light comes in that way and that you don’t really do anything significant in the hallway anyway... And that the neighbors wouldn’t look in anyway.
Currently, in our semi-detached house, we also have an entrance door with a window cutout and NO frosted glass. Somehow it has never bothered me... But still, I would also find it annoying if people could see us in the hallway...

Ah! What are your opinions on this? My husband and I don’t agree at all...

It depends on where the front door leads. We decided against frosted glass because the front door is not visible.

The front door already faces the street, but it is a residential area... Usually, only cars belonging to residents or visitors drive there.

The carpenter also said that he always finds it quite good when he knows who is at the door. He's actually right about that... My husband just thinks that he is then being watched..

It depends a bit on what role the hallway plays for you - is it an entrance area? Does it go all the way through to the sofa? Post the floor plan.

Here is the floor plan... And the door we currently prefer. The small mini walls in the vestibule will still be removed...

I think I would go with non-satinized there. A matter of taste, as often is the case. If necessary, you can still have non-satinized glass foiled.
