Well, I don't see 10,000 hours as realistic. We certainly want to do a lot ourselves, but 10,000 hours of helpers is not realistic.

No one asked you for approval either, so it’s fine.
Do you always write such helpful comments?

6 months of usual construction time are 120 working days. 4 people working simultaneously on the construction equals 480 PD or 3840 working hours. Then the hut is finished.
Where did you guess those 10,000 hours from?

How does BG Bau actually verify whether the specified companies have indeed carried out the work? Do they make random inquiries with the executing companies or do they visit the client and review the invoices?

You should carefully read the information sheet from BG Bau:

Information sheet for private builders Statutory accident insurance for private construction helpers

It contains examples of when your father/uncle is insured and when not.

------

For verification: We have also contributed many thousands of hours of EL. There was no inspection on site, and as far as I know, no inquiry was made at the companies either.
BG Bau cannot check whether your father/uncle helped for 300 hours or 3000 hours......

We also did a lot ourselves...Me + father + brother + occasionally friends...I always carefully filled out all the forms that came. Then I had to pay about 125 euros...these really seemed to count only for the friends...in total, there were several hundred hours of help.

And where exactly do 4 people help, 5 days a week, 8 hours each as self-performed work?

For example, our roof:
Erecting the roof truss took 2 men 2 days at 10 hours each...
The battens and underlay on a Saturday with 4 men at 10 hours each...
The complete ceiling on a Saturday with 4 men at 10 hours each...

Did you have to list the hours worked for each person individually? For me, each inquiry only asks how many helper hours have accrued, but not which helper worked how many hours.
