Hello everyone,

it's unbelievable how much you can get caught up in a topic once you have a fixed idea. And then all the questions can't be answered quickly enough.

That's why I'm hoping for your tips and experiences.

I want to build a bungalow with Danwood. This prefabricated house manufacturer offers from OK foundation slab onwards.

A foundation slab involves more than just pouring concrete. Excavation, filling up, compacting, insulating... God knows what. Then I keep reading about splash water protection and all sorts of things.

Is there a company that simply carries out all these tasks (maybe even including the house connection) that I could inquire with?

I am a complete beginner and feel a bit helpless in this area and of course want to be well informed so as not to be taken for a ride.

In my search for prefabricated house providers, I already found it really frustrating that there is either WITH interior finishing OR with foundation slab. And if it is with foundation slab, then only including 20 cm of earthworks.

PREFAB HOUSE means PREFAB HOUSE. Why don't such companies just offer packages that include all this?

Anyway... maybe you can shed some light on the matter.

Many thanks!

Hello Catsome,

with this issue, you should find a solution with a basement builder - they (usually) also build floor slabs.

If you need a specific recommendation for a (in my opinion) reliable basement builder, just contact me briefly via PN.

Unfortunately, it is not dimensioned; is the bed in the bedroom 1.4 m wide? And a floor plan without clear zoning is also rarely seen...

I suspect WD is right - the bed is quite narrow relative to the bathtub (standard length 160 cm)... a 2 m bed could be tight.

A floor plan with area and length specifications would be nice...

Where should the heating go in the floor plan? Then no washing machine will fit in the utility room.
