Formulation of development plan: use water as process water

Hello everyone,

we have found a plot of land and are currently calculating the additional construction costs for a single-family house.
The development plan ([neu erschlossenes Baugebiet]) states: "The ungreened roof areas must be connected to cisterns. The water is to be used as service water."

My question concerns the second sentence. Does this mean we also have to supply the toilet flush and washing machine with water from the cistern and provide corresponding pipes and filtration systems - or do we meet the requirements of the development plan if we only use the cistern water for garden irrigation?

Best regards

Non-potable water in my opinion refers to toilet and/or washing machine

Additional costs besides the technical empty conduit to the cistern would be the line to the consumers and a domestic water system with automatic make-up water supply. You can find details with various cistern manufacturers under the keyword domestic use

Service water is very general. So yes, garden irrigation is sufficient.

Hi,

Garden irrigation is basically greywater, so that's okay. However, in winter the cistern will overflow. So you either have to infiltrate in winter as well, or they really want to force you to have a double piping system with filters and all the bells and whistles. In the latter case, it will be quite an expensive affair.
How about green roofing to avoid that?

Regards,

Andreas

Thanks. Probably a stupid question, but still: Infiltrating the water in winter – is that problematic? Meaning: If necessary, I go outside every day and spray the garden with the hose?

if the soil (Verisckerungsbeiwert) and the terrain allow it, I would connect a few underground infiltration blocks to the overflow of the cistern for a few hundred euros. I would not want to expose myself to forced irrigation in winter with possible freezing and even freezing of the pipes
