Hello everyone,
we were considering installing our shower as a concealed installation.
For the overhead shower, we would like this one:
Hansgrohe Pulsify S overhead shower 260 2jet with wall connection. The installation manual states that it must be connected to a Hansgrohe carrier body at the top in the wall.
And for the hand shower, this one:
Hansgrohe Pulsify Select S shower set 3jet
For the control, you now need something for 3 consumers. Unfortunately, with Hansgrohe I only found the expensive Rainselect solutions, or you can install a 3-way valve for selecting the shower + a separate thermostat. I don’t find that very appealing.
With Grohe, however, I found something more appealing:
GROHE Grohtherm SmartControl thermostat pre-assembled set with 3 shut-off valves
Of course, this must be installed with a Grohe carrier body.
Now my question is, can the Hansgrohe overhead shower carrier body be connected with the Grohe thermostat carrier body, and thus operate the Hansgrohe overhead + hand shower with the Grohe thermostat, or must everything come from the same manufacturer?
It would be great if someone knew something about this, I don’t quite understand it all. I thought they are actually only connected with a "normal" pipe, so it shouldn’t matter?!
Thanks & regards
