Hello,
we want to further develop our attic. Currently, the tongue-and-groove boards with about 10 cm width and 2.8 cm thickness are exposed there. However, since the floor bounces, I want to reinforce the floor with OSB panels (12 mm), laid crosswise, glued and screwed to the tongue-and-groove boards. A small bathroom and a study room are to be created. The installer who installed the air heat pump for us recommended an XPS 400 system from an online retailer in Dortmund.
1. OSB = good choice or are there alternatives?
2. Thickness sufficient?
3. Gluing and screwing okay or floating?
4. Experiences with dry construction underfloor heating? Suggestions?
Thank you in advance!
