Take a look at the plans from garant-bau.de in Stockelsdorf near Lübeck. I think that the different type of staircase they choose creates better possibilities upstairs. Perhaps as an inspiration to think like this.

We thought about the orientation for a long time and in the end decided on this option. On the one hand, we have a bit of privacy from the neighbor and on the other hand, we get the southwest sun at the front.
