I honestly think the draft is really good, I would move in there like that =D

What I would change, which has also already been mentioned, is the 1.8m high "TV wall". I would make it full height as well. This reduces the noise from the kitchen a bit when someone is watching TV there.

I would keep the guest WC. There is space for it, and the children should also be granted privacy. Besides, the children's bathroom can sometimes be a bit messy.

You can discuss that. Compared to the rest, it seems very separated and less modern, but functional. Ultimately, it’s a matter of taste.

Basically, I would say it fits. But in the end, it also depends on how you want to implement the KNX/ network. For a high-end KNX with all sorts of gadgets, the switch cabinets tend to become very large. But a better contact than me in this case would be the heating engineer and the electrician. They can tell you more precisely, tailored to your ideas, how much space the whole technology will require.

I would then execute it so that they disappear into the wall behind the built-in cupboard in the dining area when sliding towards the dining area.

As written in another thread, unfortunately we were not allowed to build the house like that because we did not comply with the "phantom building boundaries." It was quite a lot of dithering for several months because for a long time we were only told what we were not allowed to do, but never clearly which rules (building boundaries) we were supposed to follow... after several compromise designs, none of which was approved, we then gave up on planning a single-story bungalow with a basement. From our point of view, that was not always logical or comprehensible. But oh well, we also wanted to start at some point and not "argue" with the building authority for years.

The house that will hopefully be built sometime this year will look different. It will end up as a staggered floor, with the children's rooms + children's bathroom located upstairs. The living/dining area has remained virtually the same. Over the months that we inevitably spent with several replanning phases, we also thought deeply about our needs once again. So much happens in a year, children grow older, etc., and we had the opportunity to shift our priorities a bit. If I have some free time and the construction actually begins, I will try to post corresponding reports.

Yes, that also happened during some design iteration. The wall is now ceiling-high.

Yes, the sliding door to the living/dining area will be designed exactly like that. It will disappear into the wall behind the cabinet.
