Hi Bamue89, our windows are not coming until the end of the month (hopefully..). Currently, plumbing and electrical work are ongoing in the house, and I believe the plumber wanted to use the last days when the crane and scaffolding are still up.

Which data are you interested in regarding the lift-and-slide door? The dimensions are marked on the plan, 4.01 wide and 2.33 high, with a two-part shutter. For the statics, we needed a beam above it; the neighbors with the same floor plan have a steel support because no lift-and-slide door is installed.

At the window manufacturer’s factory during the sampling, we saw a similar door, Schüco system; we also added extra mushroom cams for more burglary protection. However, according to the window manufacturer, who is on vacation, the best burglary protection is probably blocking the sliding part anyway.

It wasn’t exactly cheap; the additional cost from the builder compared to the standard (2x double leaf door) was just under €1800...

Oh, and regarding the location of the house – it’s on a hillside. On the upper floor, we look down onto the roof of the neighbor below, while the neighbor on the left side of us in the picture is one story higher and looks from their ground floor almost directly into our upper floor. But we don’t necessarily find that disturbing; the side facing the picture (south) is free and will remain so according to the development plan...
